What to know about WAO, its opportunities and its international work.

WAO’s opportunities are open to artists of all backgrounds, career stages and artistic disciplines. There are no geographic or medium restrictions. We work across painting, sculpture, photography, digital art, mixed media and other contemporary practices, creating opportunities through publishing, exhibitions, cultural projects and other forms of artistic and editorial engagement.

Each submission is reviewed individually, considering the artistic quality, originality and coherence of the artist’s practice, as well as its relevance to the editorial direction of the specific publication or project.

Submitting your work to WAO is completely free. Selected artists receive an invitation with further details. The participation fee is €190 for a two-page feature.

Selected artists receive inclusion in the relevant WAO publication or project, together with a digital copy of the publication where applicable. Printed editions can also be purchased separately through Amazon and delivered directly to the artist’s address worldwide.

WAO publications are available internationally in both print and digital formats. Our distribution extends across a growing network of galleries, libraries, museums, cultural institutions, curators, critics, historians and other art-world professionals, alongside international online distribution including Amazon.
